I am working in Illustrator almost exclusively these days. This is the summer season poster for the new reading series. Look at those names:
C.S. Giscombe, Ann Svilar, Trevor Calvert, Barbara Claire Freeman, Jack Morgan, Kaya Oakes, William Moor, Daphne Gottlieb. Wow.
I wanted it to look like you were looking up on a cool and clear summer night. And the series is in Oakland, paid for by the city, and everyone always uses the whole tree when they make things for Oakland, forgetting about how iconic the oak leaf has always been as a sign of strength and knowledge.
